This project exceeded its original goal of $400,000 in 45 days, raising in excess of $2 million.[85] Crowdfunding acted as a pre-order or alternatively as a subscription. After the success of Double Fine Adventure, many games were crowd-funded and many offered a DRM-free version.[86][87][88]
